Be it fun, entertaining, or get-together spreading environmental awareness, QOOZO Anniversary event has it all.

It has always been NESH simple and clear mission to cultivate the love for our mother nature and do our bit to protect this environment. This year, in conjunction with QOOZO’s 1st anniversary themed <<Seeds of Hope>>, NESH celebrated this joyous occasion with 350 invited guests on 9 November 2008 (Sunday) @ GSC Hall 2, 1 Utama Shopping Centre.

This special celebratory event comprised of a series of exciting events including the Environmental Musical Drama, presented by “Ma Ming Children’sTheatrical Troupe”, artistic nature photography shared by Mr Calvin Soh (Research & Development Director) etc. The event kick-started with the review of series of environmental activities organized by NESH followed with the launching of QOOZO Environmental Chopsticks & QOOZO Environmental Chest Book.

To make this special occasion particularly meaningful, NESH spearhead another saving planet earth project ~ Seeds of Hope. People from all walks of life are urged to become part of the movement, to make a resolution by adopting the QOOZO coin box & take the next step in honoring & maintaining this beautiful planet. Those proceeds will then help fund five NGO’s sanctioned programmes to protect environment in Malaysia. Projects satisfying the stipulated criteria will be funded by these proceeds. The beneficiaries are:

• Universiti Sains Malaysia - NEMGRADS
• Life Line Association Malaysia
• Pay Fong High School, Melaka
• Persatuan Meditasi Prajna KL dan Selangor
• Rainforest Mountain University - Mr. Forest Gan

Speaking on the occasion, Ms Soh Yok Kim, Managing Director of NESH, commented, “When it comes to environmental impact, every little bit counts; from every little person counts; this is one area of life where each individual can & does make a difference. Becoming green doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive. Every little bit you do helps to reduce your footprint on the environment. You may start from your own house, by refuse classification.”

The event ended with a high note where 5 representatives from respective NGOs were invited on stage for the cheque presentation ceremony. Before leaving the hall, all children receive the QOOZO comic book, while door gift comprises of the 2009 notebook & QOOZO Environmental Chopsticks were distributed to all guests to advocate the greener lifestyle.
